KUALA LUMPUR: Jetour Malaysia has set out its 2026 growth outlook, reaffirming its long-term commitment to the Malaysian market as it expands its sport utility vehicle (SUV) portfolio, retail network and operational capabilities.
The Chinese SUV brand, which entered Malaysia in 2024, said this year will mark a key transition into its next growth phase, following steady progress in brand establishment and network expansion.
Jetour Malaysia vice-president Nicholas Ng said its approach has focused on building relevance in the local market by understanding Malaysian driving habits, travel patterns and customer expectations.
“Malaysia remains a key market in Jetour’s global growth strategy. Our focus is on strengthening our SUV portfolio while continuing to invest in the infrastructure that supports long-term customer confidence,” he said at the JetourChinese New Year luncheon.
Last year, Jetour recorded sales of 2,741 vehicles in Malaysia and currently operates 31 authorised sales and service centres across 13 states and regions nationwide.
As part of its brand evolution, the car brand has introduced a new logo in Malaysia ahead of 2026, inspired by the Chinese character 行 (Xing), symbolising steady forward movement.
The refreshed identity signals a clearer and more confident brand direction for the local market.
Jetour said its 2026 product roadmap will include multiple SUV launches across urban, off-road-inspired and lifestyle-oriented segments, anchored by the T-Series.
One of the key models highlighted is the Jetour T2, which is expected to play a central role in the brand’s SUV expansion.
The mid-sized SUV is powered by a 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine producing 254 PS and 390 Nm of torque, paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission and all-wheel drive.
For Malaysia, the T2 is equipped with Level 2 advanced driver assistance systems including adaptive cruise control, autonomous emergency braking, lane centring assist and blind-spot monitoring.
Other features include a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, a 15.6-inch infotainment touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 12-speaker Sony audio system, panoramic sunroof and a 360-degree camera system.
The Jetour T2 is currently open for booking, with an estimated price of around RM178,888, and is expected to be officially launched in the first quarter of 2026.
Beyond product expansion, Jetour Malaysia is strengthening its long-term operational capabilities.
The company plans to establish a new Malaysia headquarters and flagship service centre in Glenmarie by the end of the first quarter.
The facility will include a regional technical training centre and a dedicated media and content centre to support network development and aftersales operations.
Jetour Malaysia is also targeting an expansion of its authorised sales and service network to 50 outlets nationwide by end-2026 to improve customer access to sales, service and aftersales support.
The company said these investments are aimed at supporting sustainable growth and reinforcing confidence as it scales up its presence in the Malaysian automotive market.
