Jalan Masjid India has reopened after DBKL completed repairs on road surface subsidence near Bombay Jewellery, with structural stability concerns addressed.
KUALA LUMPUR: Repair work on the road surface affected by subsidence near the Masjid India area has been completed.
Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) announced that Jalan Masjid India, closed this morning for safety reasons, reopened to the public at 6pm yesterday.
Investigations revealed the depression occurred locally, indicating a disturbance to the pavement structure’s stability.
“DBKL will continue close monitoring and conduct further inspections and scanning at the location and surrounding areas,” the authority stated.
DBKL emphasised that public safety remains its top priority.
The authority thanked all parties for their cooperation and compliance with safety instructions during restoration works.
