ISKANDAR PUTERI, Sept 14 — The Malaysian Islamic Development Department (Jakim) is expanding the use of the MySPPIM (Malaysian Islamic Marriage Management System) mobile application to make it easier for the public to manage marriage-related matters online.
According to Jakim, the application enables users to apply for pre-marriage courses, submit marriage applications, request advisory services, and access digital marriage certificate cards conveniently.
“This application can also be used by enforcement authorities to verify marriage status,” the department said in a media kit shared in conjunction with the Ijtimak Perdana Agensi Agama Seluruh Malaysia (IJPAM) 2025 held here yesterday.
In addition, MySPPIM is equipped with functions for online registration of marriages, divorces, and referrals, as well as access to pre-marriage course certificates.
Yesterday, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim launched MySPPIM 2.0 IJPAM 2025. Also present at the event was Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Religious Affairs), Datuk Dr Mohd Na’im Mokhtar.
IJPAM 2025, which was held here for six days starting on Sept 8, brought together 20 religious agencies and 2,400 participants and was packed with various activities, including the Islamic Affairs Management Convention and Regional Halal Seminar. — Bernama
