KUALA LUMPUR: Selangor face a must-win situation when they host Indonesia’s Persib Bandung in an Asian Champions League 2 (ACL2) Group G match at the MBPJ Stadium tomorrow.
The Red Giants are bottom of Group G after three defeats and need a win to revive their hopes of reaching the knockout stage.
Selangor lost 4-2 to Thailand’s Bangkok United and Lion City Sailors of Singapore before falling 2-0 to Persib Bandung, last month.
However, Christophe Gamel’s men will take on Persib with renewed confidence after their 2-1 Super League win over Sabah at the Likas Stadium last Sat urday.
The French coach said: “What to say, we have to make it happen tomorrow. We have to develop a good game anyway, no matter what happens.
“We know their quality — we saw it when we played away. Now we have to react to that.
“It’s a special game. Every time in the Champions League, everyone wants to play this kind of game. Let’s give Persib a hard time.”
