KUALA LUMPUR: ITMAX System Bhd’s unit, Southmax Sdn Bhd, has clinched a RM50.97 million contract from Majlis Perbandaran Batu Pahat to provide a smart closed-circuit television (CCTV) system.
In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, ITMAX said the contract covers the installation and rental of CCTVs with artificial intelligence features, panic buttons and smart traffic lights, as well as the establishment of the Batu Pahat Smart Integrated Operations Centre.
The 15-year deal, effective Sept 1, 2025, will see Southmax undertake installation and provide ongoing services under a monthly subscription model.
ITMAX expects the contract to contribute positively to its earnings and strengthen net assets per share throughout its tenure.
