KUALA LUMPUR: ITMAX System Bhd’s unit Selmax Sdn Bhd has bagged a 10-year parking system contract from the Selayang Municipal Council.
In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, the company said Selmax has been appointed by the council to operate the Selangor Intelligent Parking system.
Under the appointment, Selmax will handle the deployment, management, and operation of all gazetted parking bays within the council’s jurisdiction.
“The contract carries a tenure of 10 years, with an option for a five-year extension,” ITMAX said.
The company added that the contract will follow a revenue-sharing model, with Selmax entitled to 50 per cent of income from parking fees and compound collections.
Managing director and chief executive officer William Tan Wei Lun said this marks the company’s third smart parking contract in Selangor, strengthening its position as a key driver of the state’s digital infrastructure transformation.
He added that smart parking is more than just a convenience feature, as it forms a foundation for wider smart city initiatives by supporting data-driven urban mobility, boosting enforcement efficiency, and improving the overall public experience.
