Powerful earthquake of 6.2 magnitude shakes in Istanbul


ROME, April 25 (Xinhua) — Italy marked the 80th anniversary of its liberation from fascism on Friday with a range of activities across the country.

Parades took place in many cities including Rome, Milan, Florence, and Genoa. In Milan alone, an estimated 90,000 people participated. National museums and parks across Italy also offered free admission to the public.

President Sergio Mattarella and Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni attended a wreath laying at the Altar of the Fatherland in Rome.
