KLANG: Investigators are combing the scene where a man in his 30s was fatally slashed at Taman Sentosa on Wednesday night.

police chief Datuk Shazeli Kahar said police personnel, including the forensic unit, were deployed to gather evidence and trace the suspects involved.

“Our officers will also be reviewing and analysing closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage from the surrounding area to get a clearer picture of what transpired,” he said when contacted today.

Shazeli urged anyone with information about the case to come forward to assist with the investigation.

It was reported that a 34-year-old man was hacked to death during a fight in Taman Sentosa, Klang, yesterday. The Klang Selatan district control centre received a report via MERS 999 at around 11.10pm.

The case is being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code, and the motive remains unknown.

Disturbing videos of the incident have since circulated online, including footage showing a man crying hysterically and speaking in Tamil near the victim’s body.

Members of the public with information can contact Senior Criminal Investigating Officer Assistant Superintendent Mohamed Syahrir Zabidi at 012-665 0895 or the Klang Selatan district operations room at 03-3376 2222.
