KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 4 (Bernama) — InterSystems, a creative data technology provider, has highlighted Indonesia as a beacon of healthcare innovation in Asia at its recently held Asia Healthcare Summit 2025.

Driven by the Ministry of Health’s transformation agenda and increasing private sector investment, Indonesia is rapidly advancing in healthcare digital maturity, according to InterSystems in a statement.

“We are in the early stages of a massive shift in computing as we enter the artificial intelligence (AI) age. Southeast Asia is a hub of innovation, and at this summit our customers showcased how they are delivering world-class care to the region with our technology,” said InterSystems Founder and Chief Executive Officer, Terry Ragon.

The Summit showcased InterSystems’ solutions, including its flagship IRIS for Health data platform and TrakCare Electronic Medical Record system, widely used by Indonesia’s leading hospitals. A major highlight was EMC Healthcare, the first hospital in Asia to deploy InterSystems IntelliCare, an AI-powered, unified EHR designed to streamline workflows and improve clinical decisions.

In Indonesia, InterSystems technology already supports leading healthcare providers, including Prodia, EMC Healthcare, Tzu Chi Hospital, EKA Hospital, Pondok Indah Group, Asia One Healthcare, and Bali International Hospital.

These partnerships span national laboratory networks and advanced private hospitals, directly aligning with the Ministry of Health’s vision for connected, patient-centred care.

The summit featured live product demonstrations from InterSystems, including AI-assisted consultations and patient insights, AI avatars to support clinicians with common tasks, and seamless data sharing across various segments of the health and care ecosystem.

InterSystems solutions and services partners also exhibited in the Partner Pavilion, including global technology, defence and engineering group ST Engineering, InterSystems’ newest implementation and solutions partner in the ASEAN region.

The event concluded by celebrating customers in Asia that are setting a benchmark in digital health maturity by achieving Stage 6 or 7 validation on the prestigious HIMSS Electronic Medical Record Adoption Model (EMRAM).

Pondok Indah Hospital Group became the first in Indonesia to achieve HIMSS EMRAM Stage 6 and has now achieved Stage 7 across all three hospitals, while Malaysia’s National Heart Institute was named the first in the country to reach Stage 6.
