Renowned Indonesian singer Krisdayanti has made history by winning a silver medal in the Women’s Single Weapon Routines at the 10th World Kungfu Championships held in Emeishan, .

Krisdayanti, 51, who is also a member of Indonesia’s Dewan Perwakilan Rakyat (DPR), shared photos of her silver medal and certificate of appreciation in an Instagram post while expressing her gratitude to those who supported her.

The achievement drew attention from fans and fellow artistes, who flooded the comments with congratulatory messages.

The championships, which ran from October 14 to 20, brought together participants from various countries, including Indonesia, to showcase traditional Chinese martial arts.

Krisdayanti said the opportunity to represent Indonesia on the international stage was a great honour.

Previously known as one of Indonesia’s most influential female singers, she now showcases her talents in sports, particularly martial arts.

The World Kungfu Championships, organised by the International Wushu Federation (IWUF), is a prestigious platform that gathers kungfu athletes from around the globe to showcase their skills in various categories, including weaponry, bare-hand, and traditional routines.
