KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 10 (Bernama) — National sprinter Muhammad Azeem Mohd Fahmi and Danish Iftikhar Muhammad Roslee dominated the podium in the men’s 100 metres (m) sprint at the Indian Open Athletics Championship in Bhubaneswar today.
National record holder Muhammad Azeem won the gold with a time of 10.35 seconds (s), while Danish won the bronze with a time of 10.50 s, while Sri Lankan Chamod Yodhasinghe finished second with a time of 10.43 s to take the silver.
Both sprinters had qualified for the today’s final after Muhammad Azeem won Heat 2 and Danish finished third in Heat 2, an achievement that mirrored today’s podium finish.
