KUALA LUMPUR:
IJM Corporation Bhd today clarified that it is unaware of any potential proposed merger with Sunway Bhd as reported by the local media.
In a filing with Bursa Malaysia Securities Bhd, IJM Corp said its board has not been approached regarding the matter.
“The board is not aware of any such proposal,” the filing said.
“IJM is obliged to adhere to Bursa’s disclosure requirements and will make the necessary announcements should there be any material development.”
According to a news report, the entities have been in discussion for over a year on the possibility of undertaking a share exchange deal.
