KUALA LUMPUR: The country’s top police officer has vowed to take disciplinary action against the police who first investigated the death of Zara Qairina Mahathir if they are found to have breached procedures.
Inspector-General of Police Datuk Seri Mohd Khalid Ismail said investigations have already been initiated by the Bukit Aman Integrity and Standard Compliance Department (JIPS) and a special task force set up for the case.
He said action could be taken against the investigating officer and their supervisor if procedural breaches were confirmed.
