iCaur Malaysia has launched the new iCaur V23, the Chinese brand’s second model locally and Malaysia’s first fully electric off-road-capable SUV.
Positioned in the C-segment, the V23 builds on the momentum of the iCaur 03, expanding the brand’s presence in the adventure-ready BEV category.
At the launch, Chery International executive vice president (EVP) Chen Chun Qing highlighted iCaur’s role in Chery’s “Co-Create, Co-Define” strategy.
Chery Corporate Malaysia EVP Men Lin Bo, meanwhile, said the V23 combines genuine EV off-road ability with daily versatility for a new generation of drivers.
Inspired by classic 4x4s, the V23 features a bold, upright design with short overhangs, a 42° approach angle, 41° departure angle, and 210 mm ground clearance.
It can wade through 600 mm of water, matching modern 4×4 SUVs.
The 2WD rides on 19-inch wheels, while the iWD variant gets 21-inch wheels for a more assertive look.
LED lighting, sidesteps, and grab handles come standard, alongside practical touches like an auxiliary storage box with integrated brake light.
Malaysia receives two variants: 2WD – 100 kW/180 Nm, 59.9-kWh LFP battery, up to 360km NEDC range and iWD – 155 kW/292 Nm dual-motor system, 81.8-kWh NMC battery, up to 430km NEDC range.
DC fast charging peaks at 85 kW for 2WD and 104 kW for iWD, with both supporting 6.6 kW AC charging.
Built with 70 per cent high-strength steel and advanced BMS protection, the V23 includes six airbags and a full ADAS Level 2 suite.
Inside, a 15.4-inch QuadHD touchscreen powered by a Snapdragon 8155 chip anchors the cabin, complete with wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, a seven-speaker system, and robust physical controls.
Ventilated and massage seats enhance comfort, while cargo space ranges from 234 litres to 744 litres with seats folded.
The V23 2WD sells for RM119,800, while the V23 iWD retails at – RM132,800.
iCaur Malaysia reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening its retail and aftersales presence nationwide.
The company is now approaching 20 network locations across Peninsular Malaysia, surpassing its initial projection of 18 locations within 2025, as demand and brand interest continue to build.
Planned openings in Sabah and Sarawak remain on track for the first quarter of 2026.
