iCaur 03 electric SUV is now officially available in Malaysia. Today’s launch concludes more than a year of preview for the first model from Chery’s sub-brand in our market, which originally made its debut here at Malaysia Autoshow 2024 as the Jaecoo J6.
iCaur 03 Malaysia Pricing, Colourways, Warranty
As previously reported, the iCaur 03 is available in two variants over here. Here’s how much each variant costs:
- iCaur 03 2WD: RM119,800
- iCaur 03 iWD: RM129,800
The price listed above is on-the-road pricing without insurance. The iCaur 03 comes in several colourways, including Silver, Grey, White, Black, and Aurora Green.
If you want to go all the way, you can opt for the Black Phantom Edition package for an additional RM20,000. Available for both variants, the accessory set provides a body kit with matte-black colourway as well as a roof rack platform and a side ladder – although do note that it is limited to 100 units.
Meanwhile, the iCaur 03 is covered by a 7-year / 150,000km vehicle warranty. At the same time, there is also a separate 8-year / 160,000km warranty for its battery and drive unit.
iCaur 03 Early Bird Package
For the first 1,000 owners, they will receive 1 year of unlimited charging provided by JomCharge which can be used even with other roaming partners inside the JomCharge app and inclusive of access to AutoCharge functionality.
Early birds will also receive a lifestyle package worth RM3,000 that includes merchandise and vouchers from Starbucks, JD Sports, Sunway Lagoon, and Touch ‘n Go. Not to forget, they will also get free AC charger for their homes.
iCaur 03 CKD coming soon
Interestingly enough, iCaur has also revealed that iCaur 03 will be assembled locally (CKD) starting from January 2026. The assembly will take place at Chery Malaysia’s plant in Shah Alam where several Omoda and Jaecoo models are already being assembled, such as Omoda C9 and Jaecoo J7.
Price-wise, the CKD units will carry the same price as announced today. Since the CKD operation for iCaur 03 will only begin next year, the first batch of customers will receive the imported, completely built-up (CBU) unit instead.

While it may carry a Jimny-like design, the iCaur 03 is not a small car by any means. In fact, this SUV is slightly larger than a Honda e:N1 and BYD Atto 3 Ultra:

The 2WD variant comes with 18-inch wheels, while the higher-end iWD option gets 19-inch wheels.
The iCar 03 2WD features a single rear-mounted 135kW (181hp) motor that also produces 220Nm of torque. Powered by a 65.7kWh LFP battery, the SUV can deliver an NEDC-rated range of 426km or around 362km if you convert that figure to WLTP.
On the other hand, the iCaur 03 iWD has two motors that deliver a combined output of 205kW (275hp) alongside 385Nm torque. This variant also has a slightly bigger battery capacity at 69.8kWh, but has a shorter NEDC-rated range of 418km or 355km when you convert to WLTP.
Both of the iCaur 03 variants support a DC charging speed of up to 80kW, which allows them to be charged from 30% to 80% in 30 minutes. They have also been equipped with a single-phase 6.6kW AC charging module and can be used to power up external appliances via their 3.3kW Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) feature.
As for the tech features, the iCaur 03 comes standard with a 9.2-inch digital instrument cluster and a 15.6-inch infotainment display with support for wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The iWD version of the SUV has been fitted with an Infinity 12-speaker surround sound system while the 2WD model has to settle for an 8-speaker sound system.
There are also 6 airbags within the EV, together with a 540-degree camera system that also includes the “Transparent Chassis” feature. As you may expect, the iCaur 03 also features an Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) suite with Level 2.5 autonomous driving capability.
