KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 25 — The husband of a woman who was found murdered in Kampung Sekolah Juru, Bukit Mertajam, last week was released on bail today by the Magistrate’s Court here.
Utusan Malaysia reported that the 57-year-old man, along with a 45-year-old acquaintance of the victim who had been remanded for a week, were each granted bail of RM5,000 with two sureties by Magistrate Nurul Rasyidah Mohd Akit.
Both men arrived at the court at around 9.40am and were seen leaving the premises at 11.15am in a private vehicle.
Last Saturday, the victims — Sariya Che Hin, 51, and her adopted daughter, Nur Afrina Alisha Abdul Rahim, 11 — were found murdered, with multiple stab and slash wounds on their bodies, including their hands and heads.
