NILAI: Remains of a human skeleton were found on a hill slope at KM24.5 northbound of the Kajang-Seremban Highway (Lekas) last Sunday (Nov 2).
Nilai police chief Superintendent Abdul Malik Hasim said police have yet to find any leads related to the discovery.
“At 11.30am on Nov 2, the Nilai police headquarters received a report from a man regarding the discovery of human skeletal remains at the location,” he said.
“Initial investigations found several bones clustered together, believed to be part of a human skeleton,” he said in a statement today.
He said no identification documents were found at the scene, and the victim’s identity remains unknown.
“Investigations at the scene also did not reveal any element of criminal activity.
“Also found at the location was a pair of track bottoms believed to have been worn by the person.
“The track bottoms were dark-coloured with two vertical stripes in yellow or green along the sides of the thighs,” he said.
Abdul Malik urged anyone with information, or those with missing family members, relatives, or friends, to come forward to the nearest police station.
