Hulu Langat MP Sany Hamzan has sought to refer Pendang MP Awang Hashim to the Parliament’s Rights and Privileges Committee over the PAS lawmaker’s “insulting remarks” in the Dewan Rakyat.
Speaking to reporters in Parliament, Sany cited Awang’s interjection during Home Minister Saifuddin Nasution Ismail’s winding-up speech last Thursday, with repeated references to Hulu Langat as “Hulu Laknat”. Laknat means damned in Malay.
