Huawei is gearing up for another major smartwatch release in Malaysia. The company has officially confirmed that the Huawei Watch GT 6 series and the Huawei Watch Ultimate 2 will be making their local debut on 29th September 2025.
Just like previous generations, the Watch GT lineup comes in several options — the standard Watch GT 6 (41mm and 46mm sizes) and the more premium Watch GT 6 Pro. Meanwhile, the Watch Ultimate 2 sits at the very top of Huawei’s wearable portfolio, targeting enthusiasts who want the best tech, rugged durability, and unique diving features.
Pre-orders now live with freebies worth up to RM1,035
Pre-orders for the new Huawei smartwatches are open from now until 3rd October 2025. To secure a unit, you’ll only need to place a RM30 deposit, with the remaining balance payable between 29th September and 3rd November. According to Huawei, priority deliveries kick off on 4th October.

Huawei Watch GT 6 series — smarter cycling tracking, bigger batteries, HarmonyOS 6.0
The Huawei Watch GT 6 series brings several notable upgrades, headlined by the industry’s first use of high-silicon stacked batteries in a smartwatch. This new design allows for a 26% boost in space efficiency, 37% higher energy density, and 65% more battery capacity — enabling up to 21 days of use on a single charge under light usage.
Beyond the battery, Huawei has also introduced the Sunflower Positioning System 2.0 for 20% better GPS accuracy and introduced a range of cycling-focused tools. These include Functional Threshold Power (FTP) metrics, Cycling Virtual Power estimation (industry’s first), automatic cycling detection (with smart pause at traffic lights), and compatibility with pro-grade sensors like heart rate straps and power meters.
The GT 6 series also improves health and safety tracking with more accurate heart rate monitoring (up to 98% during cycling), enhanced fall detection accuracy, and the upgraded TruSense system for better stress, sleep, and HRV insights. On top of that, the GT 6 Pro adds ECG and depth sensors for advanced health and diving metrics.
For sports enthusiasts, the Huawei Watch GT 6 series covers 100+ workout modes, including cycling, skiing, as well as golf and trail running, which are exclusive to the Pro model.
The watches run on HarmonyOS 6.0, which brings a fresh visual design, an upgraded golf course app, and playful new video/sticker watch faces. Storage has also been bumped up to 64GB across the board.
In terms of displays, the 46mm Huawei Watch GT 6 and GT 6 Pro each get a 1.47″ (466×466 pixels) AMOLED display, while the 41mm vanilla model gets a 1.32″ AMOLED panel with the same resolution. The regular GT 6 models are built with stainless steel cases, while the Pro model gets more premium materials such as sapphire glass, titanium alloy, and a nanocrystal base.
All models are 5 ATM + IP69 rated, with the GT 6 Pro certified for diving up to 40m. Other highlights include Bluetooth 6.0, NFC, dual-band GPS, and integrated TNG eWallet support. As standard, the new Huawei Watch GT 6 series is compatible with devices running at least iOS 13.0 and Android 9.0.
Huawei Watch Ultimate 2: 200m water resistance & underwater sonar communication
If you’re looking for something beyond the GT 6 Pro — a smartwatch with an even more premium build and cutting-edge features — Huawei has the Watch Ultimate 2 lined up. This model sits at the very top of the brand’s wearable range, blending high-end materials with serious durability.
Its case is made from zirconium-based liquid metal, which Huawei claims is 1.38x stronger, 1.25x harder, and 8.7x more corrosion-resistant than conventional materials. The premium construction continues with sapphire glass, an aerospace-grade titanium crown, and a nanocrystal ceramic back.
To keep performance consistent even during demanding tasks, Huawei has equipped the Watch Ultimate 2 with its Ice Diamond Cooling System, offering up to 130% better heat dissipation compared to standard materials. The watch is also engineered for deep diving with 200m water resistance, making it the first smartwatch to support underwater sonar communication. Divers can send preset texts, emojis, or SOS messages at depths of 30–60m, and even add up to 50 “dive buddies” for safer underwater adventures.
Health and activity tracking are handled by Huawei’s Multi-sensing X-Tap sensor. First seen on the Huawei Watch 5, it can measure ECG, SpO₂, and arterial stiffness, while also enabling new pressure-sensitive watch face interactions and gesture controls like Double Tap and Double Slide. Thanks to eSIM support, the Watch Ultimate 2 can even place emergency calls when your phone isn’t nearby — a key feature for outdoor explorers.
Rounding things off, the watch delivers a battery life of up to 4.8 days in Standard Mode and packs a 1.5” LTPO 2.0 AMOLED display with 466×466 resolution and a peak brightness of 3,500 nits, ensuring crisp visuals even under harsh sunlight.
