MIRI, Sept 14 — Heavy rain on Saturday caused flash floods in several parts of northern Miri, with water overflowing onto roads and inundating homes in low-lying areas.
According to the Lutong Fire and Rescue Station (Bomba Lutong), monitoring as of 1.30am today showed flood conditions in Kampung Senadin Jaya, Kampung Sealine, Jalan Lutong-Kuala Baram, Jalan Kampung Merikan, Senadin Phase 2 housing area, and Tudan Desaras.
“In Kampung Senadin Jaya and Kampung Sealine, water overflowed onto the roads. In Tudan Desaras, several houses were inundated after a nearby drain overflowed,” said the station in its report.
