Police seized half a tonne of drugs worth RM3.85 million during six raids in the Klang Valley earlier this month.
Kuala Lumpur police chief Fadil Marsus said three local men and three foreign women were arrested during the six raids conducted between Oct 14 and 17 at condominium units in Kuala Lumpur and Selangor, Berita Harian reported.
A total of 462.5kg of methylenedioxy-methamphetamine (MDMA) powder, better known as ecstasy, was seized during the raids, Fadil said at a press conference.
Around 38.7kg of cannabis, 195g of Erimin 5 pills, 52.8g of ecstasy pills, and 32.8g of ketamine were also seized.
The suspects have been remanded for a week to assist in a drug trafficking investigation. Police also seized cash, bracelets, rings, earrings, watches, and other valuables.
According to the daily, Fadil said the two syndicates that were busted used the condominium units as drug storage facilities before distributing the drugs to customers. They also carried out transactions at parking lots.
The first syndicate had been active since February, distributing processed MDMA, while the second syndicate had been operating since September, distributing cannabis around the Klang Valley.
