PETALING JAYA:

Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) chairman Hajiji Noor says the coalition has finalised seat allocations with Pakatan Harapan (PH) for the upcoming Sabah state election.

Hajiji said the exact number of seats contested by each coalition would be revealed on nomination day, adding that GRS’s manifesto would also be unveiled after nominations close.

“We will offer the best to the people of Sabah,” he said when met after visiting Sekolah Agama Negeri (SAN) Pekan Tambunan.

Hajiji said he was confident voters would return the mandate to the GRS-PH state government based on its performance over the past five years.

“We have made many achievements through various socio-economic programmes for the people.

“We have brought high-impact investments to spur Sabah’s economic development,” he said.

It was previously reported that PH was eyeing 23 seats for the state polls, with expected to contest 13 while DAP and Upko are likely to contest five each.

GRS secretary-general Masidi Manjun, however, said the coalition would contest 55 seats, leaving 18 constituencies to PH.
