PETALING JAYA:

The government will be unveiling several proactive measures for the semiconductor industry tomorrow when Prime Minister Ibrahim delivers the keynote address at the Asean Semiconductor Summit.

said this followed the national investment council’s third meeting this year, which detailed the status of ‘s national semiconductor strategy a year after its introduction.

“I will deliver the keynote address at the Asean Semiconductor Summit tomorrow, where the government will announce several proactive measures to ensure the national semiconductor industry remains competitive,” he said in a Facebook post.

Anwar, who is also the finance minister, said the government remained focused on helping the industry through various fiscal aid programmes.

He also said it was important to draw up responsive, data-driven policies to ensure investments brought into the nation would benefit both the country and people in the long-term.
