KUALA LUMPUR: The federal government is scrutinising recipients of the People’s Housing Project (PPR) in the federal territory to ensure that only deserving applicants benefit and that the needy are not left out.
Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Federal Territories) Datuk Seri Dr Zaliha Mustafa said the number of applicants far exceeded the number of available units.
“We are carrying out enforcement measures to verify those who truly deserve a PPR unit.
“There are too many applicants, but the number of units available is limited,” she said.
