Meanwhile, Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Federal Territories) Datuk Seri Dr Zaliha Mustafa, who also extended her congratulations in a Facebook post, said the recognition not only elevated the Prime Minister’s leadership but also strengthened Malaysia’s position as a leader in Islamic finance globally.

, who is also the Finance Minister, received the award today in recognition of his pivotal role in advancing Islamic finance.

Established in 2011 by Edbiz Corporation as part of its support for Islamic banking and finance, GIFA celebrates the achievements of individuals, institutions and governments in promoting and advancing Islamic banking and finance while ensuring continued commitment to social responsibility.
