KUALA LUMPUR: Genting Malaysia Bhd says its subsidiary Genting Americas Inc (GAI) has filed a motion to dismiss an amended complaint against it in the United States District Court.
In a filing with Bursa Malaysia today, the company said the motion was filed on Sept 12 in response to an amended complaint submitted by Rav Bahamas Ltd on July 29.
Genting Malaysia said the amended complaint largely reiterated earlier allegations without introducing new material facts.
“GAI maintains its position that the amended complaint is baseless and without merit and will continue to vigorously defend against these claims,” it said.
Genting Malaysia shares rose 1.40 per cent, or three sen, to close at RM2.17, valuing the company at RM12.10 billion in market capitalisation.
