SEREMBAN: Four teenage suspects have been arrested in connection with the alleged rape of a 16-year-old girl at a house in Seremban.
Seremban police chief Assistant Commissioner Mohamad Hatta Che Din said the girl had met one of the suspects through a dating application and asked him to send her home from a karaoke centre in Senawang.
The victim lodged a police report at the Senawang police station at 3.21am on Aug 30.
“Initial investigations found that around 8pm on August 29, the victim had gone to a family karaoke centre in Senawang.
“She is believed to have sought help from a man she had just met through the ‘Leo’ application to send her home.
“However, on the way back, she alleged that she was taken to an unknown house and raped by several men,” he said in a statement.
Following the report, the Seremban District Criminal Investigation Division arrested four suspects, aged between 16 and 19, at separate locations around Seremban.
The victim was taken to Tuanku Ja’afar Hospital for a medical examination.
