MUAR: Four men, including three teenagers, have been remanded at Muar Magistrate’s court for allegedly racing motorcycles and performing dangerous stunts during a street racing operation here.

Muar OCPD Asst Comm Raiz Mukhliz Azman Aziz said the suspects, aged 15 to 20, were arrested along Jalan Pintasan Temenggong Ahmad at 3.55am on Saturday (Sept 13).

“Four of them were found racing against each other while performing ‘Superman’ and zig-zag stunts from Jalan Pintasan Haji Kosai to Jalan Pintasan Temenggong Ahmad.

“They were taken to the Muar Magistrate’s Court the same day and have been remanded until Monday (Sept 15) for further investigation,” he said in a statement on Saturday.

ACP Raiz said that continuous enforcement would be carried out to curb street racing activities that endanger road users and disturb public order.

“I also urge parents and guardians to monitor their children closely, especially underage teenagers, to prevent them from getting involved in illegal racing,” he added.
