ACP Kasim said they would collaborate with the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) on this investigation.
During the inquest, Dr Hiu testified that the 58-year-old told the court that Zara Qairina’s fall was neither accidental nor caused by her being pushed.
She had also said that it was impossible to place the 13-year-old inside a washing machine due to her weight.
Counsel Hamid Ismail, who represents Zara’s mother, Noraidah Lamat, urged the public to respect Dr Hiu, stating that insulting and belittling the pathologist’s expertise would not benefit anyone.
