IPOH: Focus on serving the people and strengthening the unity government, instead of causing political turmoil, says Muhammad Kamil Abdul Munim.
The PKR Youth chief said all parties in the unity government need to stop politicking and ensure there is political stability.
“The country experienced economic instability following the Sheraton Move in 2020 due to political turmoil.
“Let’s learn from history – don’t be egoistic, arrogant or haughty,” said Muhammad Kamil, who is also the Finance Minister’s political secretary.
“Let’s stop this turmoil and polemic that cannot benefit us and focus on our efforts to serve the people,” he said after attending a back to school programme at the police air operations training base here on Wednesday (Jan 7).
Muhammad Kamil also said there was no need for DAP and Umno youth wings to continue trading barbs.
“I don’t think we need to prolong this. What has been done is clear. Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi has made a clear statement and the issue of whether to cooperate or not does not arise anymore.
“From the beginning, the Yang di-Pertuan Agong called on political parties to work together to form a unity government in order to strengthen political stability
“There will be a time and occasion for all parties to compete in a democracy, which is the general or state elections,” he said.
