PETALING JAYA: The number of flood evacuees nationwide stands at 33,526 people from 10,193 families, with 298 temporary relief centres (PPS) operating across 34 districts in nine states as of 4pm on Saturday (Nov 29), says the National Disaster Control Centre.
TERENGGANU remains the worst-hit state, with 10,156 evacuees from 2,917 families housed at 110 PPS across seven districts.
Meanwhile, PERAK recorded 6,586 evacuees from 2,031 families at 46 active centres, while PERLIS reported 5,246 victims from 1,596 families at 23 PPS.
In SELANGOR, 4,342 evacuees from 1,199 families are taking shelter at 31 PPS across five affected districts.
KEDAH reported 3,052 victims from 964 families at 13 active centres in two districts.
KELANTAN recorded 1,940 evacuees from 768 families, with 13 PPS still open across three districts.
PAHANG continues to see 1,739 victims from 553 families housed at 52 centres across five districts.
NEGRI SEMBILAN has 379 evacuees from 139 families at five PPS, while MELAKA reported 86 victims from 26 families at five centres.
The death toll remains at 2 victims as of Nov 13.
