KUALA LUMPUR: Firefighters rescued a man suspected of cable theft who was trapped on a concrete pillar along the MRT track in Taman Tun Dr Ismail early this morning.
According to a statement from the City Fire and Rescue Department, a distress call was received at 2.41am, and teams from the Taman Tun Dr Ismail and Sri Hartamas fire stations were dispatched to the scene.
Operations commander Khairul Izwan Khairudin said his team found the man trapped beneath the MRT concrete track pillar. The police said the individual, a 30-year-old Malay man, was suspected of being involved in cable theft and was later handed over to them for further action.
