KUALA LUMPUR: Feytech Holdings Bhd’s subsidiary Feytech Sdn Bhd has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with DAS Corp for a technical collaboration supporting Hyundai’s Staria project in Malaysia.

DAS, headquartered in Gyeongju, Korea is known for its automotive technology expertise in seating structures and components.

Feytech, based in Kulim, Kedah, provides engineering and technical support services primarily for the automotive industry.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, Feytech said the MoU, signed on Oct 29, outlines a framework for cooperation in engineering design, product testing, technology transfer and supply chain coordination to ensure the successful execution of the project.

Both parties will work together on engineering design, testing and validation for the Hyundai Staria, exchange technical drawings and specifications and coordinate the procurement and supply of child parts.

The collaboration will also involve technology and know-how transfer, while financial terms will be determined later through definitive agreements.

Feytech said the partnership leverages its local engineering capabilities and DAS’ expertise in automotive technology and cost management to support Hyundai’s regional initiatives.

“This partnership aligns with Feytech’s strategic direction to expand its technical and industrial capabilities, contributing to the growth of the automotive sector in Malaysia and supporting national industrial development goals,” the company said.
