KUALA LUMPUR: The Federal Government has announced it will not appeal the 40 per cent revenue entitlement for Sabah following a High Court ruling in Kota Kinabalu.
A special Cabinet meeting was held today to discuss the judgment in a judicial review filed by the Sabah Law Society against the Federal Government.
The Attorney-General’s Chambers (A-GC) said the government respects the principle of the Special Grant as provided under the Federal Constitution. Negotiations with the Sabah state government will begin immediately.
