, Sept 17 — Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor has reportedly once again failed to recuse the judge who presided over her corruption trial linked to the RM1.25 billion solar hybrid project for rural schools in Sarawak.

Her application was rejected by the Court of Appeal, which held that her claim of bias against High Court judge Justice Zaini Mazlan had no basis, Free Malaysia Today reported.

“The appellant (Rosmah) also failed to show that the trial judge was biased,” Justice Ahmad Zaidi Ibrahim was quoted as saying behalf of the three-member panel.

The other judges on the bench were Justices Azman Abdullah and Noorin Badaruddin.

The decision was reportedly unanimous.

Rosmah, who is married to former prime minister Datuk Seri , was convicted in September 2022 of soliciting and receiving bribes amounting to RM194 million in relation to the solar hybrid project, and sentenced to 10 years’ jail and a RM970 million fine.

She may still pursue a final challenge against today’s ruling at the Federal Court.
