KUALA LUMPUR: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim’s firm and consistent stance on Gaza has drawn the attention of foreign elements, leading to increased monitoring and activities by external agents in Malaysia, said Communications Minister Datuk Fahmi Fadzil.
He said the prime minister’s outspoken position on the humanitarian crisis in Gaza has made him one of the most vocal leaders in the region, and this has not gone unnoticed globally.
“Since our prime minister’s stance remains strong and principled on Gaza and Palestine, there has been a noticeable rise in activities involving foreign elements in Malaysia.
“This is a matter that the authorities are monitoring very closely,” he said.
