TANJUNG MALIM: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has called on Proton Holdings Bhd to expand its presence in more countries worldwide.
Anwar expressed his desire for Proton to leverage Malaysia’s strong international relations to explore markets in Europe and South America.
“I recently met the Prime Minister of Egypt, who told me that Proton’s cars are becoming a popular and affordable choice for their citizens.
“With the upcoming Asean summit, I hope Proton can showcase their cars there,” he said in his speech during the launch of Proton’s first electric vehicle plant here on Thursday (Sept 4).
