JOHOR BARU: Former The Star journalist Hamdan Raja Abdullah passed away on Tuesday (Sept 23) evening.
Hamdan, 75, passed away peacefully at his home in Muar.
His service with The Star spanned around three decades.
In addition to his work as a journalist, Hamdan also wrote several novels and collections of short stories throughout his career.
Affectionately known as Pok, the veteran was known for his no-nonsense working style and sense of humour.
Star Media Group chief content officer Datin Paduka Esther Ng said Hamdan, a longtime journalist with The Star, was dedicated and serious about his work.
“He was a jovial person who always had time to talk to anyone.
“Hamdan will be missed; he will always be part of the Star family,” she said.
