PETALING JAYA:

Former Sabah secretary Sazalye Donol Abdullah has joined Warisan.

In a statement, Sazalye said his decision was due to the party’s stance on the implementation of the Malaysia Agreement 1963 (MA63) and Sabah’s 40% share of net revenue.

“Warisan is the only party aligned with my views and those of my friends,” he was quoted as saying at a press conference at Warisan headquarters yesterday.

“I see that Warisan not only talks but also takes action, especially in implementing MA63.”

Sazalye added that his departure from was not due to personal animosity but a desire to join a platform that was cleaner, more transparent, and consistent.

“It is not to say that my previous party was bad, but I wanted a cleaner space. I see that Warisan truly looks after the unity of Sabahans,” he said.

It is unclear when Sazalye formally left . He lost his position as Kota Marudu division chief in a four-cornered contest during the party elections in April.
