PUTRAJAYA: The Citra Madani dance performance brought colour and energy to the National Day 2025 parade, showcasing Malaysia’s rich cultural diversity before thousands at Dataran Merdeka today.
The performance featured more than a hundred dancers from the Culture and Arts Department of the Tourism, Arts and Culture Ministry, alongside students from the Permata Seni Tari programme, non-governmental organisations and other student groups.
Dressed in traditional outfits representing Malay, Chinese, Indian, Orang Asli and Bumiputera communities from Sabah and Sarawak, the performers delivered a lively routine blending music and movements from across Malaysia’s cultural heritage.
This year marks Malaysia’s 68th National Day celebration, themed ‘Malaysia Madani, Rakyat Disantuni’.
