MUAR: A 53-year-old electrician was electrocuted and fell to death while assisting with repair works at a school hall in Jalan Sayang here this morning.
District police chief Assistant Commissioner Raiz Mukhliz Azman Aziz said the man fell from the first floor of the school after he was electrocuted at 9.53am.
He was pronounced dead at the scene by medical officers from Sultanah Fatimah Specialist Hospital.
“Initial investigations found no criminal elements and the case has been classified as sudden death.
“A post mortem carried out by the hospital’s forensic department confirmed the cause of death as electrocution,” he said today.
Raiz reminded the public to exercise caution when handling electrical work and to seek assistance from qualified professionals.
