The Election Commission has confirmed that Pejuang is not contesting in the Sabah state election as was reported earlier in the day.
This morning, the EC had announced after nominations closed that there was a Pejuang candidate, Lasius Miki, contesting the Kapayan seat.
It led to a statement from Pejuang denying that the party was contesting the polls and urging the EC to correct its error.
The EC acknowledged the error tonight, and said there were six candidates representing Parti Perjuangan Rakyat and not five, Bernama reported.

Miki is now listed as a PPR candidate in Kapayan, where a 13-cornered battle will take place.
Jannie Lasimbang (DAP) is seeking re-election to the seat, and is challenged by: Chin Tek Ming (Warisan), Bernard Logijin (Parti Solidariti Tanah Airku), Billy Joe Dominic (Upko), Dr Edwin Bosi (Parti Kesejahteraan Demokratik Masyarakat), Chin Ling Ling (Parti Impian Sabah), Wong Kong Fooh (Parti Kerjasama Anak Negeri), Kuo Lee On (Parti Bumi Kenyalang), Sylvester Moloukun (Parti Aspirasi Rakyat Sarawak) and independent candidates Cyril Gerald Liew, Sabariah Aziz and Land Lip Fong.
