KUALA LUMPUR: The Enforcement Agency Integrity Commission (EAIC) has released a new public service announcement (PSA) titled “Jerat”, produced in collaboration with the National Film Development Corporation (Finas).
EAIC chairman Tan Sri Dr Ismail Bakar said the PSA, released in conjunction with 62nd Malaysia Day celebrations, highlights the dangers of abuse of power and underscores integrity as the foundation of national dignity and sovereignty.
“Using a dramatic storytelling approach, Jerat exposes the dark consequences of misconduct and its impact on society.
“The production was part of the commission’s continuous efforts to instil awareness of integrity, particularly among enforcement personnel.
“Through the dramatisation in Jerat, we hope the message resonates more deeply with the public, reminding everyone of the grave consequences when power is misused,” he said in a statement on Tuesday (Sept 16).
The release also serves as a reminder, he added, that unity and independence hold true meaning only when supported by integrity across all levels of society, he added.
“Through the joint initiative with Finas, EAIC hopes to reach a wider audience and strengthen public resolve to reject misconduct while upholding integrity for the nation’s future,” he said.
The PSA premiered at 12pm on Tuesday across multiple platforms including YouTube (FINAS Malaysia), RTM, Astro, Media Prima and other channels.
