KUALA LUMPUR: The Enforcement Agency Integrity Commission (EAIC) will publicly disclose investigation recommendations that enforcement agencies under its purview have yet to act on.
EAIC chairman Tan Sri Dr Ismail Bakar said it is part of efforts to strengthen governance and ensure accountability.

“The move follows a recent reminder by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, who gave agency heads a one-week deadline to ensure that responsibilities are carried out.
“The decision is aimed at upholding justice for all parties and safeguarding institutional effectiveness, in line with the commission’s mandate to the public,” he said in a statement on Tuesday (Feb 10).
He added that the management of public officers’ conduct must be carried out in a disciplined manner and in accordance with established procedures.

“Any report referred to disciplinary authorities must be processed under the prescribed disciplinary management framework.
“It is the duty of the respective department heads to exercise control and disciplinary oversight over their subordinates in line with Regulation 3C of P.U. (A) 395/1993,” he said.
He also expressed hope that all involved agencies would extend full cooperation by taking appropriate action and submitting feedback within the stipulated time frame.
