KUALA LUMPUR: Deputy Home Minister Datuk Seri Dr Shamsul Anuar Nasarah has lodged a police report over defamatory claims linking him to the case of Zara Qairina Mahathir.
“I have never spoken or commented on anything regarding the case of the late Zara Qairina.
This is a malicious and irresponsible act,” he said in a statement on his Facebook page today.
In addition to the police report, Shamsul Anuar also filed a report with the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) for further action.
Earlier, a screenshot allegedly showing a statement from the deputy home minister regarding the case went viral.
