LOS ANGELES, Sept. 21 (Xinhua) — The anime film “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle” topped the North American box office for the second weekend in a row with an estimated three-day cume of 17.3 million U.S. dollars, figures from the measurement firm Comscore showed Sunday.

“Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle,” distributed by Sony-owned Crunchyroll, is the first of three films set to feature the climactic battle to round out the Demon Slayer anime saga.

The film, which set a record 70-million-dollar debut last weekend in North America, has grossed 104.7 million dollars in the region through Sunday.

A newcomer, Universal’s football-inspired horror film “Him,” opened in second place with 13.5 million dollars.

Rounding out the top three, Warner Bros. and New Line’s horror film “The Conjuring: Last Rites” took in 12.95 million dollars on its third weekend for a North American total of 151.2 million dollars.
