KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 20 — About 10 people were reported injured after firecrackers exploded during Deepavali celebrations in Paya Besar in Kulim, Kedah, at midnight yesterday.
The incident, which occurred around 12.45am, saw all victims rushed to Kulim Hospital for treatment, according to Kosmo! Online.
The injured reportedly sustained wounds to the head, face, and body.
It is understood that the firecrackers suddenly went off beneath the crowd of spectators gathered to watch a fireworks display.
Several images and videos of the incident have also gone viral on social media.
