PETALING JAYA:

The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission has arrested four people, including a man with a “Datuk Seri” title, on suspicion of submitting RM360 million worth of false claims involving a Klang Valley highway project.

A MACC source said the suspects were believed to have committed the offences between 2016 and 2017, Bernama reported.

“All four suspects are believed to have submitted false claims worth RM360 million using sukuk funds in a highway project in the Klang Valley valued at around RM1.3 billion,” he said.

The suspects comprised three men and one woman, aged in their 50s and 70s. They were arrested between 4pm and 6pm at MACC’s headquarters in after showing up to give their statements.
