KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 18 (Bernama) — Mitsui Chemicals Singapore R&D Centre (MS-R&D) has donated 60 metres of posica kukkiri film to Jamiyah Nursing Home (JNH) in Singapore, enhancing views and reducing sun glare for its residents.
In a statement, the company said the June 2025 donation is being installed across two floors of wards and will transform the visual environment by creating clearer and more vibrant window views.
A total of 10 wards on levels two and three will now benefit from the installation.
The initiative follows earlier contributions, including the installation of the film in the Activity Room in May 2024 and a trial at two ward windows in November 2024.
Positive feedback from JNH nursing staff, citing improved comfort levels among residents, prompted MS-R&D to extend the donation.
The posica kukkiri film enhances colour saturation, creates high-contrast views and blocks 99 per cent of ultraviolet (UV) rays, thereby reducing glare and fostering a calmer indoor environment.
Through this donation, MS-R&D hopes that residents in JNH can enjoy a better quality of view while indoors, and the company also aims to raise awareness about the beneficial use of posica kukkiri film in healthcare and caregiving facilities.
