PUTRAJAYA: Excited cheers filled the air as hunky uniformed personnel flexed their way into the crowd’s hearts once again in this year’s celebrations.
They wooed the crowds not just with their muscles but also with gestures such as the “mini-love”.
“Abang Bomba” were met with huge cheers as they made their appearance.
“Akak Bomba”, the department’s female personnel, also part of the contingent, flexed to the crowds, while waving.

The personnel waved and smiled from atop their enforcement vehicles, with some even going down to meet spectators, drawing thunderous applause.
Other uniformed services were not to be outdone, with muscular personnel from the military, police, and Road Transport Department sharing the limelight.
They struck poses for the crowd, with many waving and recording videos.
Fire and Rescue Department officer Azim Mamat said there is no such thing as competition when it comes to the National Day parade.
“They have their own strengths and identities. There is no competition between us,” said Azim, a fixture of the department’s contingent for the past few years.

Fellow Fire and Rescue Department officer Ezam Aziery said Malaysia’s prosperity must always be appreciated.
Ezam, who has taken part in the parade for the past decade, said this was because the country’s prosperity was achieved through the efforts of our forefathers.
“We should all celebrate and embrace it together,” he said.
Ezam is also a bodybuilding champion, having won the gold medal at the World Police and Fire Games held in Alabama, the United States, earlier this year.
